Family owned and operated structural steel fabrication company based in Norman, serving all of Oklahoma

Weibee Steel was founded in 1987 by Mike Martin. Mike brought his technical expertise in the form of a bachelor degree in Architecture along with a Master of Construction Science to the steel fabrication industry in central Oklahoma. On that solid foundation he built a legacy that continues over 30 years later.

“Before everyone had a cellphone in their pocket. The accountant went to register the business, with a few business names listed. In order to meet the required amount of business name option (you had to put something down) he put  “We Be Steel” as his last option, inspired by “Toys R US”.  Once the accountant got to the Tax Commission office the other business names had already been taken so she changed the spelling to “Weibee Steel” and that’s how we got the name “Weibee Steel”

Mike’s wife, Sheri, helped him grow the business along with the client and employee base. The company is now the premier fabricator of metal structure for framing in the region and the state.

In 2017, when Weibee Steel marked 30 years in business, the Martins officially retired, and passed the baton to their grandchildren.  The family is fortunate to have a loyal employee base, many of whom have been with Weibee Steel from the beginning. In addition, the company employs two full time detailers which means customers can be assured that their projects will progress smoothly and accurately. 

Under the leadership of the next generation, Weibee Steel continues it’s commitment to fabricate and deliver the highest quality metal structure for construction projects in Central Oklahoma and beyond. As a fabricator of structural steel, Weibee has successfully completed hundreds of specialized and innovative projects through the heartland.

Weibee Steel employs a full staff of project estimators that are dedicated to providing realistic and highly accurate scopes of work based on the most up to date information and project experience. The company employs two full time detailers which means customers can be assured that their projects will progress smoothly and accurately. We maintain a strong relationship with the best and the most dependable suppliers and subcontractors in the industry.

This includes supply of fabricated materials & erection/installation. Weibee Steel also now provides crane rental , with NCCCO certified operator & Rigger.
